Auto endorsing with SCSI scanning with ISIS or ISIS-compatible drivers This information is of interest if you enable your scanner’s endorser and then select Auto endorse in the Scan job options dialog. It concerns what you must type in the Prefix string box in the Scan job options dialog. The prefix is the first part of the string to be printed by the endorser—usually the part before the counter. The prefix is optional for most scanners. However, some models require that a counter be represented in the prefix string by one or more placeholder characters. Users must type the placeholder characters in the Prefix string box. No counter number is printed if placeholder characters are missing. In the case of the models listed above, type either a hash mark (#) or percent sign + zero + hash mark (%0#) as a placeholder for a counter. The counter always takes up 7 spaces. If the number consists of less than 7 digits, it is padded with spaces if you used #, or zeroes if you used %0#. Each hash mark after the first one results in an actual hash mark being printed by the endorser. For more information, refer to FORMS Help, INVOICES Help, and the documentation that came with the scanner. |
