Auto endorsing with SCSI scanning with ISIS or ISIS-compatible drivers This information is of interest if you enable your scanner’s endorser and then select Auto endorse in the Scan job options dialog. It concerns what you must type in the Prefix string box in the Scan job options dialog. The prefix is the first part of the string to be printed by the endorser—usually the part before the counter. The prefix is optional for most scanners. However, this scanner requires that a counter be represented in the prefix string by one or more placeholder characters. No counter number is printed if placeholder characters are missing. Users must type placeholders in the Prefix string box. Type <C> as a placeholder for a single-digit counter, or use <C#> and replace the hash mark with the number of digits you want the counter to have. Example: <C3> results in a 3-digit counter. For more information, refer to FORMS Help, INVOICES Help, or the documentation that came with the scanner. |
